A Letter from the Bush

Dear frend,

’Ow’s it poppin’? Can’t you tell them Fed’ral Government blokes to take a pull? If you don’t I’ll ’ave to stop takin’ the paper.

Me wife ’as giv up readin’ the drapers’ ads an’ ’as took to porin’ over the perlitical news. She’s jist seen where there was seventeen motions in the ’Ouse at one time.

Now she’s tryin’ to fix it so’s our oldest dorter, Lil, is goin’ to move a gen’ral motion at tea-time tomorrow; an’ then she’s goin’ to come the double an’ try to kreate three parties in the ’ouse.

She’s gettin’ a fair craze for the game. No washin’ done, an’ the cows only arf milked. Kin you tell me ’ow to stop it? Things is rottin’.

Hoppin’ you are the same,
Yours truly,
Ben Bowyang
