Letter by CJD to R.H. Croll 1916.12.12

Toolangi Dec 12/16

Dear Bob,

I shall be delighted to see you, and Dad also.

Drop me a line a couple of days before you come so that I can arrange for band, flags and other items.

Next Monday I am going to town for a couple of days. If you see Leason you might tell him this, as I don't want him to come and find me away, and I haven't his address.

With the state of parties as they are in Fed. politics I fear I can do little to help friend Watts.

All I can think of is to send him to Russell with a letter, tho' I cannot promise that it will do much good unless there is a job actually waiting.

If you think it would be of use let me know and I shal send one down, and drop a note to Ted at the same time.

Hope to see you before Xmas. If not - a merry 'un.

Yours Den

Notes: "Dad" is J. G. Roberts. "Russell" and "Ted" are Senator E.J. Russell who Dennis was working for at the time.
